Nowadays, we have great access to our favourite bands, teams, leagues, stars. Use this opportunity to learn new language. Have fun following your star on social media, watch your favourite team matches in NBA in English, DTM in German, La Liga in Spanish, X Factor UK in English.

Socialize with other fans. It’ll give you great opportunity to meet new people and it is beneficial to your communication.

I like Lebron James, Leo Messi, Pep Guardiola, Sebastian Vettel and Jurgen Klopp. I watch all of their press conferences, interviews, news on them on social media in their languages: English, Spanish and in German respectively. It’ll give me news I’m looking for and it has great impact on my skills regarding my English, Spanish and German. They are stars in NBA, football or soccer if you’re American and in Formula 1. I would follow news on NBA, La Liga and F1 anyway, however I do that in foreign languages, not in my native language. There is no better way to link your interests with language. Don’t waste time on following your stars In your native language, if you want to learn foreign language. Try to learn while you are looking for news, shows, matches, movies by doing so in language you want to learn.

It is much better to listen to Lakers in English, FC Barcelona in Spanish, Sebastian Vettel in German than translations, which are not always accurate and even more importantly the language is the way ot thinking - insights you can get in their native languages are more valuable in their native languages, not translations, which don’t give you context you need.

Lebron James can give you his views on America nowadays, NBA, game which has its own slang and language
. Leo Messi would give you great insights on La Liga, Barcelona, Spain and his views, how club should be managed. Sebastian Vettel is good English speaker, like Jurgen Klopp for example, however only in German they are able to speak on everything and these news are better to follow.
