7 Things You Can Do To Improve Your English Online And Have Fun With That

In this post, I’ll give you 7 tips how to improve your language online and have fun with that. You can try this with different language, not only English. If you want to be Spanish or German speaker, it’ll work.

Tip number 1. Watch YouTube live streams and videos, Netflix or any other platform in foreign language with subtitles.

Do not stick to your native language, watch your favourite TV series in Spanish with subtitles.

Tip number 2. Listen to the audio books.

Books are your friends and the greatest vocabulary builders. You can have fun with your favourite novel, author and forget for a while about the real life problems. Books reduce stress levels and have positive impact on your mental health, personality, creativity, visionary, business, communication and personal development.

The key is finding something which is interesting for you, for instance, thriller or fantasy.   

Tip number 3. Repeat the entire sentences you hear on radio, TV, live stream, or on any other media you use, never single words.

Self-talk has bad reputation, ignore that. It will help you massively.

Tip number 4. Use your hobbies to learn.

For example, you love painting. While you paint, listen to YouTube channel of Angela Anderson, professional painter, artist I should say from the US. You need to be creative, imaginative, active, not passive.

You love La Liga. Watch the football match between Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spanish. Do not waste any opportunity to listen to foreign language.

Tip number 5. Try to use what you learnt to post the comment on social media. You will meet new people immediately. It is the best thing you gain by studying foreign language.  

Tip number 6. Try to encourage your family members or close friends to study with you. Language is conversation. Have a fun together even via Zoom or Skype. You will gain confidence needed to speak in foreign language. You trust your close ones. Talk to them. Have fun.

Tip number 7. Use grammar rules as the helpful tool, do not memorize grammar rules or vocabulary you find in dictionaries.

We need to speak correctly, not memorize grammar books. Grammar books provide help.
