Ansu Fati, the rising star of Spanish football

17 years old midfielder Ansu Fati has been making headlines over last days due to his truly remarkable performance in Spanish national team. He’s 17, however he’s been playing like 30 years old experienced player.

He is the rising the star since 2019, when he made his debut in first Barcelona team under Ernesto Valverde against Real Betis Balompie at Camp Nou. Week later, he scored against Osasuna Pamplona away from home.

He is talented, skillful and hard working. He seems to have the natural ability to play football, bit like Patrick Kluivert 20 years ago. He enjoys playing football.

One touch football, dribbling, tricks, almost relaxing way of playing make him special young player.

However, he is under the spotlight right now. Hopefully, he will be able to make progress in Barcelona under Ronald Koeman with Lionel Messi. He could become next Barcelona’s leader, like Messi, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Romario in the past.

It is impressive to see the Barcelona football academy can polish diamonds like Ansu. Messi, Xavi, Busquets and Puyol made their careers due to this academy for youngsters.

Fati was impressive last season, despite the team was in transition, he was playing really well. He wasn’t intimidated, but patient and committed. It's maturity.

He is the youngest ever scorer in Spanish national team, hopefully he will be able to make progress under Barcelona management. Barcelona fans deserve leader in the post-Messi era, but long way to go and I hope Ansu is aware of that.

Shocking result at Villa Park. Aston Villa won 7:2 against the champions of England, FC Liverpool. Watkins scored hatrick in first half. Liverpool defense has been dreadful in this game for the entire 90 minutes. Villa created chances and they have taken the advantage over powerless Liverpool and won in such a dominant fashion. It was great day for Villa fans and Premier League fans, apart from Liverpool and Manchester United supporters. Both teams lost their games conceding 7 and 6 goals in their fixtures respectively. You will never see something like that in one day in any other league in Europe. Two top teams lose their matches allowing their opponents to score 7 and 6 goals.
