Leeds and Fulham play great football

Both promoted teams played exceptionally well last weekend. Leeds won 4:3 against Fulham, both promoted teams put up the great show on the Elland Road in Leeds.

There is no tactics however while Fulham and Leeds play, but it is great news for all fans around the world. English Premier League is global brand, it is followed in China and in the United States, not only in Europe. We love offense, not tactical game. We dislike catenaccio, although I love Italy. Premier League is the greatest business sporting product on the planet, because it provides entertainment. In these days, when people struggle, it seems to be vital.

I am impressed that both Marcelo Bielsa and Scott Parker set up great teams, capable of playing one touch football and attack all the time. They both need to improve their teams considering defense, if they want to not be relegated. However, last match between those two was truly a thriller. Leeds have been leading 4:1 and they’ve been under severe pressure, put by the Fulham until the final whistle. Fulham scored 3 times and final score was 4:3. It shows a determination, commitment, passion, desire, grit and also skill. To be able to create chances and score on the highest level, skills are essential. It is simply determining factor, whether you are solid and competitive team or you are relegated.

Both, Fulham and Leeds have great fan bases across the world. I remember David O’Leary team in early 2000s. They were simply brilliant fighting with Manchester United for the title and they were in the Uefa Champions League semi final in 2001. Current team is not weaker, I would say, they could be even better under current management in years to come. However, they need to close down quicker their opponents without the ball and make interceptions. Technical skills are impressive however. Bielsa is great tactician, motivator. He will get the job done.

Scott Parker needs to improve his team considering defense. They just cannot be sloppy and careless without the ball. They have got great potential in offense.

Watch Premier League, follow. Do not underestimate promoted teams. They are skillful and provide great show and entertainment and they are in Premier League to win, not to lose.
