Robert Lewandowski deserves 2020 Ballon d’Or

Polish striker deserves 2020 Ballon d’Or. It is obvious to me, not because I’m Pole. He was a key to win the Uefa Champions League. Bundesliga will never be perceived as the La Liga or Premier League, Bayern players have been dominant over the opposition in last 8 years, like Juventus in Italy and Paris Saint-Germain in France. However, Bayern won the Uefa Champions League in 2020 and it is deciding factor, which should determine the outcome.

Lewandowski played the crucial role on the European stage scoring 15 goals, which basically tells the story of 2019-20 season. The competition is fierce and under difficult circumstances, he was by far the best striker of the tournament. He made the job done. He met expectations. We expect strikers they will score goals. He’s done it. The entire team played well, they humiliated Barcelona scoring 8 goals in quarter final. I am impressed, how did they approach to this competition. They were defending as the team, all 11 players have been working hard to take back the ball. There were no sloppy parts of the game and it is the key, if the team wants to win the best tournament in Europe. The consistency makes the Bayern team special. It’s almost none star team, winning due to hard work.

Lewandowski made Bayern and European football global brand in difficult 2020. Uefa should take the opportunity to promote football globally. Lewandowski is perfect to make it happen and he made the job done on the pitch playing the key role in the team.

He scored 34 goals in Bundesliga:

The league is not seen as the best in the European football, however give him credit he deserves. He’s been playing under fierce competition in domestic league. Many of these goals were scored in impressive way, Robert is capable of producing something special on regular basis. German teams are professional, well organized businesses, it is tough to score a goal, never mind 34.

Everyone in Europe is aware, Robert Lewandowski is great striker, however he is able to score anyway. It has to be said, he is successful due to the environment, his team mates, capable of passing the ball between the lines. It has been set up long time ago to win. They’ve been regularly in semi finals over last 7 years in the Uefa Champions League. It’s not luck. It’s work.

Midfielders played crucial role in terms of setting the tone playing football match. Gnabry, Coman, Thiago, Coutinho and Muller facilitated Lewandowski’s goals, but he is creative, he could create chances. The environment is the key to be successful. Messi needed Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Neymar to win Ballon d’Or.

Lewandowski said recently he deserved Ballon d’Or. He is right given last season.

Aston Villa 7:2 Liverpool. History in the making for Villa fans. Wake up call for the Champions of England

Shocking result at Villa Park. Aston Villa won 7:2 against the champions of England, FC Liverpool. Watkins scored hatrick in first half. Liverpool defense has been dreadful in this game for the entire 90 minutes. Villa created chances and they have taken the advantage over powerless Liverpool and won in such a dominant fashion. It was great day for Villa fans and Premier League fans, apart from Liverpool and Manchester United supporters. Both teams lost their games conceding 7 and 6 goals in their fixtures respectively.
