Tuscan Grand Prix. Amo l’Italia

Tuscan Grand Prix was thrilling like week earlier Italian Grand Prix at Monza. We should race in Italy every weekend!

Tuscan Grand Prix at Mugello delivered. The race was interrupted two times by red flags, but therefore we had 3 standing starts! We had action packed race, full of drama, emotions and battles. The overtaking move which has been done by Alex Albon on mighty Daniel Ricciardo on San Donato was absolutely spectacular. Alex passed Daniel on the outside! Well deserved podium, first of many.

Drivers involved in scary incidents are ok, thankfully, although Carlos Sainz admitted, it was scary. Restart procedure should be improved. Drivers need to be assisted somehow. Otherwise, we could lose all cars in one restart.

The race was controversial and political I would say considering race winner T-shirt. Lewis Hamilton wants to draw attention to social issues involving #BlackLivesMatter and for the first time I’ve seen winning driver wearing a T-shirt with very clear message on the podium. Powerful message made by 6-times World Champion. Lewis won the race however, his teammate was not able to do anything about it once again. Valtteri plays the second fiddle to Lewis in mighty and so dominant over last 7 years Mercedes team. I miss Nico Rosberg, 2016 champion, challenging Lewis every single time. Valtteri seems to struggle.

I love the track, old school, unforgiving without run off areas, fast sweeping corners and long straight provide entertainment, like the Temple of Speed week earlier. Tuscan Grand Prix fits to Formula 1, which is the racing series with the European DNA, although it is the global platform. We will go to Portimao, Imola and Nurburgring this year and it is great news for fans. Due to current global restrictions, the schedule has been changed in favour of Europe.

Tuscan Grand Prix, like Monza has special flavor. Italy deserves more than one race per year. We have Scuderia Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Scuderia AlphaTauri on the grid. Drivers come from Italian carting. Hopefully, fans will be allowed to enter to grandstands at the circuit soon, we know Tifosi are passionate fans, the best in my view.

I was worried about Ferrari however, they are struggling. Seb Vettel has been chased by George Russell, Williams driver, which was truly bizarre.

I look forward to race in Portimao - it is Portuguese circuit, challenging and great for racing, like Nurburgring, which always delivers in all categories, F1 or DTM.
