Aston Villa 7:2 Liverpool. History in the making for Villa fans. Wake up call for the Champions of England
Shocking
result at Villa Park. Aston Villa won 7:2 against the champions of England, FC
Liverpool. Watkins scored hatrick in first half. Liverpool defense has been dreadful
in this game for the entire 90 minutes. Villa created chances and they have
taken the advantage over powerless Liverpool and won in such a dominant
fashion. It was great day for Villa fans and Premier League fans, apart from
Liverpool and Manchester United supporters. Both teams lost their games conceding
7 and 6 goals in their fixtures respectively.
You will never see something like that in one day in any other league in Europe. Two top teams lose their matches allowing their opponents to score 7 and 6 goals. Premier League is the most unpredictable league in Europe. It is the greatest entertainment you can possibly imagine. Unpredictability is the best word to describe Premier League. Teams, which are not attacking the game and making challenges from the beginning are punished and demolished. You cannot underestimate your rival, whether it is Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur or Leicester City.
Liverpool were on the back foot since the very beginning of the game allowing Villa to shot on target too many times. Villa were clinical and took all opportunities given by the champions of England. Counter attack, long balls, runs and fitness were key to win this match. Villa have not such as good technical skills as Liverpool. Therefore, they need to work hard to create chances. Those attempts were based on interceptions, great set up, build up, long diagonal balls and shots on target.
Liverpool were sloppy and they allowed Villa to shot on target too many times. It was shocking, how easy Villa were able to make those shots. Liverpool were passive. Villa were proactive. Well deserved win for all Villa fans and Premier League fans around the world. Sadly, fans could not see that historic win on the Villa Park due to pandemic.
I think Adrian and Gomez are not good enough to play in Liverpool. Both are not good enough to play in Premier League, although the entire Liverpool team have been playing really bad against Villa. The lack of organization in defense was astonishing at this level and frankly hard to explain.
It is a wake-up call for the Champions, well deserved win and history, which has been made by Aston Villa. Early days, matchday number 4, but this result should help Villa to build a momentum in current season.
