Lebron James wins NBA championship with third different team. Lakers lift 17th championship. Mamba Mentality

Los Angeles Lakers win 17^th championship after dominant victory over Miami Heat. Under difficult circumstances Lakers get the job done. Pandemic made life difficult for NBA and under unprecedented circumstances playing in Orlando, Lakers clinch the title. It is the winning mentality. It is a grit. Despite the negativity, Lakers are able to play far better than the opposition.

Lakers had all under control

Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat were not able to stop Los Angeles Lakers. Marc Vogel’s team was too good for them. Even mighty Rockets with Westbrook and Harden were not good enough, which surprised me the most. Rockets have been built around James Harden, offensive player, one of the greatest in recent two decades. However, Lakers have done more team work and their approach to the entire season was better.

The competition has been fierce in latest season. Top teams with 2 stars, no all star team like Warriors before, dominating the entire league

Clippers, Lakers, Bucks, Rockets, Nuggets, Heat, Trail Blazers, Celtics, Warriors, Raptors made 2019/20 season the best of all despite pandemic. All teams have been playing with two stars and top role players, like Clippers Williams. It was no dominant force and team with 4 stars in lineup, like Golden State Warriors between 2015 and 2019. It was tough competition between very evenly matched teams.

Harden, Giannis. Painful experience

Both James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo have expected much more in 2020 campaign. They wanted to win their first championship for Rockets and Bucks respectively. They didn’t disappoint. James and Giannis play always at the very highest level, they carry their teams as leaders, particularly in offense. Without them, Rockets and Bucks would have not even played in playoffs. They are the key to play in NBA and win in regular season to go through and play in post season. However, those teams, like others, Clippers, Celtics, Heat, Nuggets miss something. Lakers don’t.

Lakers are the team with grit

Despite the negativity, death of Kobe Bryant and pandemic, fierce competition in the regular season, Lakers were even stronger team. Under Lebron James leadership they were making progress all the time. Even under the lockdown they didn’t stop. They were prepared for the restart. All teams were slightly subdued playing playoffs in Orlando. With one exception. Lakers. Lakers were in playoffs to win, to play under very difficult circumstances over long period of time, not to be beaten by the opposition. Lakers developed the level of grit needed to clinch the title, despite weaknesses of their team, because teams like Rockets and Clippers have more better role players than Lakers.

Lebron James and Anthony Davis

Both Lebron and Anthony were playing magnificently together. There was a chemistry, like in any other team. It is needed to make things happen, like in the past. Bryant and Shaq for Lakers in early 2000s. I cannot help thinking Giannis needs more support from Milwaukee to make this team winning force. Lebron and Davis were the key to build the team around them. All Lakers role players could make progress under LbJ and Davis leadership. It is a winning formula of Lakers and any others championship winning teams in the past. Role players need to make progress under leadership of star players. Therefore, team is better and better. That’s how it should work. James is able to basically make this happen for his teams as play-maker. Role players are growing due to strength and creativity of LbJ and therefore entire team is capable of winning.

Jimmy Butler is a star despite losing against mighty Lakers

Jimmy Butler has been carrying his team, Miami Heat despite negativity and the lack of power from other players. Miami came back to finals after 6 years. It is team effort and coaching staff. Who would have thought, Jimmy Butler finally will make things happen after difficult season and last season with other season on the East.

Team is the most important thing

To be able to win, you need the team built around star players. To be able to build winning team, you need coaching staff and hard work. Lakers made it perfect. They were on the front foot under difficult circumstances setting the tone of the entire NBA. They took the responsibility for the team. 

Lebron is MVP

Lebron James has been playing in NBA over 17 years now and he is the best player, because his winning mentality and hard work. Giannis, Harden, Butler, Leonard and Westbrook are talented, they work hard, but still, their teams are in the shadow of them - star players. 

Lakers are different. Players put the value to the team, it is not the opposite. Lebron doesn’t need to score 30 points every single time – he can take the step back as the leader, assist and play the key role in defense and in transition. Lebron has been doing that in Miami, Cleveland and Lakers. It has given him championships with three different teams. Wade, Bosh, Irving and Davis were even playing better with Lebron. He helped his teams by doing so. It is intelligence playing for the championship, not to be MVP every time.

Kobe would be happy

All fans around the world lost Kobe earlier this year, but so called “Mamba mentality” remains in Lakers team.
